Greeting from ASGO President

Dear Colleagues,

I am deeply honored to have been appointed as the Asian Society of Gynecologic Oncology (ASGO) president. I'm truly humbled and thank all the ASGO members. First, I want to express my deep gratitude to the Board of Executives and Council, who made every effort to maintain the ASGO academic activities during the past two years, 2020-2021.

Upcoming official ASGO meetings are as follows. 1) the ASGO 2022 workshop in Beijing during August 27~28, 2022, and 2) the ASGO 2023 Biennial meeting in Taipei during December 1~3, 2023. COVID-19 pandemic modified the way we communicate. Accordingly, the ASGO meeting format will be a mixed, flexible one encompassing in-person features and utilizing the merits of virtual participation.

I want to organize special committees during my presidency, such as guidelines, education, research cooperation, clinical trial, etc. I'm also looking for young gynecologic oncologists to involve in these committees under the supervision of their senior councilors.

If we think about the size of the total population and patients in the Asian area, we easily recognize the infinite possibility of the ASGO. I believe the ASGO will soon become an equivalent of sister societies such as ESGO, SGO, and IGCS. The future of the ASGO is yours, and I urge your active participation, which is essential to successful ASGO's future.
As Gyorgy Lukács said, "Happy are those ages when the starry sky is the map of all possible paths."

On behalf of the Board of Executives and Councils, we are open to any suggestions, and your comments are always welcome, so don't hesitate to speak to us.

Please join and let's go together!
